Why volunteering? UWEZO Youth Empowerment was started by youth with disabilities and their friends without disabilities on a voluntary basis and volunteers are still considered very much at the heart of what we do.
Our volunteers are viewed as UWEZO’s face in the local community; they are integral in raising voices for children and youth with disabilities inclusion and empowerment and also help us to deliver services to children and youth with disabilities we serve
UWEZO volunteers are people who freely choose to contribute their time, energy and skills and in many cases, professional expertise to support UWEZO’s work Our volunteers includes persons with different disabilities, persons without disabilities of all races, religion, both nationals and foreigners.
Volunteers can work at the UWEZO head office in Kigali or , support UWEZO district level groups in order to make UWEZO a stronger children and youth serving organization. Our volunteers work in their convenient time and places for both short and long term. You can still volunteer with us from a distance!!
